Spot the trap
Tempting wrong answers, and why they failCommon misconception
Asking Claude to list the figures it feels least sure about does not target your checking well, because its own sense of uncertainty does not reliably identify where its errors are.
Output Evaluation and Validation
Common misconception
A completeness score Claude gives its own requirements is not evidence that they are complete. Only checking against the source notes and the stakeholders' answers shows whether the requirements are right.
Workflow Integration and Solution Design
Common misconception
Applying objective criteria more consistently does not make an automated rejection acceptable. A rejection is still a decision about a person, and Claude can misread or unevenly weigh applications in ways nobody catches if no human looks.
Governance, Risk, and Responsible Use
Common misconception
A more capable model will not write more clearly for your readers on its own. No model can guess an audience the prompt leaves out, so switching costs more without supplying the missing information.
Prompting and Task Execution
Common misconception
Keeping every past version in project knowledge side by side does not make answers more careful. Contradictory versions mean Claude may quote a withdrawn rule; replace the outdated file and keep any history outside the Project.
Product and Model Selection
Common misconception
Turning on Memory does not rescue an over-long conversation. Memory is not where reference policy belongs, and keeping one very long conversation going is the cause of the drift rather than a cure for it.
Configuration and Knowledge Management
Common misconception
A more capable model will not stop invented details on its own. No model can know your approved offer or product range unless you tell it; the gap is missing context, not reasoning power.
Troubleshooting and Optimization
Common misconception
A project instruction telling Claude to use the most recent information does not resolve two conflicting files in the knowledge, so Claude may still draw on the outdated one.

Exam-day rules
- Read the last line of the question first. It tells you what is being asked, such as what to do first or which claim to check, so you read the scenario looking for the answer.
- Check how many responses an item asks for. Some items need more than one answer, and the item states how many to select.
- When an option asks Claude to check, rate or confirm its own work, treat it as suspect. The exam's verification answer points to an authoritative source outside Claude.
- When an option protects data by telling Claude what not to do with it, treat it as suspect. The control is removing or anonymising the data before it goes in.
- Prefer the proportionate answer. Escalating routine, low-risk work is as wrong as skipping review on legal, financial or public content, so match the response to the stakes.
