An administrator has just taken over an unfamiliar instance. Before configuring anything she needs one place that shows which applications are available on the instance, describes what each one does, and lets her begin the guided setup for the one she chooses. Where in Next Experience does she go?

  • AOpen Admin Center, which lists the applications available on the instance and offers guided setup for them. Correct
  • BUse the All menu filter to type an application name, which reports whether that application is installed and set up.
  • COpen the History menu, which records which applications an administrator has configured on the instance.
  • DOpen the profile preferences panel, which lists the applications installed on the instance for the signed in user.
Admin Center is the Next Experience destination for reviewing available applications and starting their guided setup, distinct from navigation menus and personal preferences. Admin Center is built as the administrator's entry point to the instance, so it presents applications with what they do and a path into guided setup. The All menu, History and profile preferences are navigation and personalisation surfaces, which locate or configure the interface rather than describing the applications available.

Why A is correct: Correct because Admin Center is the Next Experience landing place for administrators, presenting available applications with descriptions and a route into guided setup for each one.

Why B is wrong: Tempting because filtering the All menu is the quickest way to find navigation entries, but the filter narrows the list of menus and modules she can reach and says nothing about availability or setup progress.

Why C is wrong: Tempting because History is an administrator's own recent trail and often includes configuration pages, but it reflects only where this user has been and carries no inventory of applications or setup state.

Why D is wrong: Tempting because the profile menu is where several personal settings live, but preferences govern how the interface behaves for that user and hold no application inventory or setup entry point.

Exam traps in Platform Overview and Navigation

Answers that look right on this material and are not. Each one is a distractor from a different question in the CSA bank for this domain.

  • Open the Favorites menu, which retains every record opened during the session until the browser is closed.

Why it is wrong: Tempting because Favorites sits beside History in the same header, but Favorites holds only items the user has deliberately starred, and she starred nothing, so the menu has no entry for this morning's work.

  • Open the History menu and keep the recent Incident entry there, since History retains visited items for the account.

Why it is wrong: Tempting because History does sit in the same header and does show the Incident module after she has opened it, but History is a rolling record of recent activity that is reordered and displaced as she visits other places, so it is not a stable shortcut.

  • Favorites propagate through an update set, so he must commit the update set that captured the starred modules.

Why it is wrong: Tempting because update sets do move configuration between instances, but a favourite is user preference data rather than captured configuration, and the agents are on the same instance in any case.
